Quality Program
DSII maintains a license through the American Petroleum Institute to manufacture masts and substructures according to A.P.I. standard 4F.
DSII has been licensed since 1997. DSII’s policy is to design and produce products and services that meet or exceed our customer’s requirements and comply with all statutory and regulatory requirements. We accomplish this by adhering to our Quality Management System and operational methods that recognize customer’s satisfaction as a primary goal.
DSII strives to continually improve the effectiveness of our Quality Management System and our commitment to customer satisfaction by monitoring our performance against our established objectives and through leadership that promotes employee involvement.
This concept represents DSII’s commitment to quality and the increased need to better serve a growing and demanding customers base.
Field Service
DSII has a service department to meet its customer’s requirements for maintenance and service in the field. Our staff is made up of several inspectors who are qualified by numerous years of oilfield experience.
When there is a problem, our service staff responds as quickly as possible to reach the rig location and assist the rig crew in resolving the situation promptly with safety as a priority.
The field service department is set up to perform annual inspections of masts and substructures. These inspections are performed according to A.P.I. Standard 4G. The visual inspections are reported on the standard 4G format to the customers representative.
The inspectors evaluate the condition of the masts and substructures. When repairs are necessary to return these structures to good working condition, the inspectors will develop a list of materials necessary to complete the repairs and remain at the rig to supervise these repairs using certified materials and welders.
Upon the mast and substructure being deemed suitable for purpose, inspection plates are issued for permanent placement on the respective structure.
The field service department’s goal is to supply our customers with the most efficient complete professional service possible.
